A few days ago, I was scrolling through Instagram when a reel of a couple from Australia drops everything to pursue this one dream…
LOFTIA.

Loftia is a new-age, solarpunk MMO game with a cute, cozy and fun game style. Developed by Qloud Games located in Sydney, Australia, Loftia brings you a new and refreshing worldwide game play.
SO WHAT MAKES LOFTIA WORTHWHILE?
The game has many great features and designs that will appeal to most everyone. It has a cute and cozy look like Animal Crossing, world creation and building like Minecraft, and connecting with other players like The Sims. The founders wanted to provide players a cozy, casual, yet fun and dynamic game play of building and design, creating new relationships, and promoting a healthy and clean environment.
GAME DESIGN GLIMPSES
The game has already created a few NPC characters in the game. I stumbled into the npc character, Hazel, in their Instagram page and loved her character design.
Hazel is a Florist in Loftia. Her vast knowledge and wisdom for plants, despite her allergies, does not stop her from growing and learning all sorts of plant life. She has a green thumb that can cultivate any bud into a blossom with her love and attention.
The developers have also revealed in their Instagram and Discord pages of fun, cool, and eco-friendly activities players can do in the game, like hydroponics machines and crops.
CURRENT PROGRESS
While the game is currently under development, the developers making this game possible will select a limited number of players to participate in their pre-alpha playtests.
The game will first be released as a PC and Mac game. Talks of making it available in the switch are in place. However any offcial announcements will be announced in their pages. Until then, play testing, character, game designs, and other updates regarding their progress can be found in their Instagram and Discord page.
